It also uses a multi-disk screw press for solid processing and sludge dewatering to reduce the volume of sludge having to be disposed of.

WWW MBBR and its integrated fixed-film activated sludge technology, WWW IFAS, optimize nutrient removal while its innovative gravimetric selection technology - inDENSE - improves the sludge settling rate.

World Water Works capitalizes on its Anammox based technologies (DEMONTM and DETOURTM), which are based on ammonia-oxidizing and anammox bacteria, for both side stream and mainstream treatment of ammonia and total nitrogen. For facilities looking at reduced manpower needs, it can use its biological combined system (BIOCOS) process, a userfriendly hybrid-activated sludge process with advanced nitrogen and phosphorus removal features.

A beef packing plant with lagoon infrastructure and low treatment capacity was facing challenges complying with ammonia regulations. World Water Works came to their rescue by upgrading the plant using their WWW MBBR and WWW DAF treatment systems. This helped the client comply with the updated ammonia removal regulations. The design allows the client to add multiple MBBRs to their infrastructure in the future to meet effluent requirements for direct discharge.
