A non-profit organization has raised funds to deliver clean water to 1 million children.
FREMONT, CA: A Seattle-based non-profit organization providing water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions to children, Splash, has secured $1 million from Tableau Foundation. The investment will be used to deliver clean water to 1 million children in India and Ethiopia. Splash's collaboration with Tableau Foundation will help the company reach the kids, helping them lead healthier lives. The partnership will also help Splash's mission to uncover reliable real-time information about the water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure in the schools, ensuring that the solutions are sustainable over the long-term. After a year of $100 million announcement for solving global challenges, the new Tableau Foundation grant will help Splash expand their mission to two of the world's largest cities like Kolkata, India and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia by 2023.
Additionally, with Tableau Foundation's support, Splash can leverage the technology, business, and community partners from the foundation to support the campaign. Splash provides water, sanitation, and hygiene programming to 16% of Addis Ababa schools and 19% of Kolkata schools. Enhanced analytics from Tableau and its partners helps Splash expand its reach, creating a working model for governments and others to replicate across its respective countries. The Tableau Foundation is excited to help Splash and its local community and government partners that harness data to solve some of the world's most complicated problems. The foundation ensures that no matter where a child is born, a guaranteed chance to grow up healthy and thrive is not on compromise.
