Industrial wastewater treatment system providers are expected to benefit from a growing demand for energy-efficient and advanced water treatment technologies.
FREMONT CA: According to a new report from meticulous research, the industrial wastewater treatment market will increase by 7.2% between 2020 and 2027, hitting $77.6 billion. Membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology is predicted to increase at the fastest ratdue to its efficiency and compactness in industrial wastewater treatment.Suppliers of industrial wastewater treatment systems are likely to benefit from rising demand for energy-efficient and innovative water treatment technology.
Other growth factors involve rapid population growth and urbanization, rising industrialization, and growing emphasis on water quality and public health. The EPA establishes effluent guidelines and requirements for industrial water emissions to surface waters and publicly operated treatment works. Each year, the Clean Water Act prevents almost 700 million pounds of pollutants from entering ocean waters.
High installation, maintenance, and operational costs are expected to obstruct the growth of this market to a certain extent. Ageing water infrastructure is another big concern for the industrial wastewater treatment sector. Water for drinking, industrialization, and agriculture is in high demand globally. The increasing efforts of India and China to reduce water stress and pollution are driving regional environmental spending.
Due to the country's rapid economic expansion, China has boosted its efforts to control pollution. However, China's latest environmental assessment indicates that 61.5% of groundwater and 28.8% of major rivers are "unsuitable for human contact." Industrial and agricultural businesses pollute heavily. Water to biogas might solve China's biggest cause of water pollution and provide a potentially successful source of renewable energy, the paper argues. In the last year, China accounted for the largest share of the Asia-Pacific industrial wastewater treatment market.
